SEM Services Process

Our rigorous and thorough process, which is outlined below, ensures that we meet the requirements of our clients:

Keyword Selection & Ad Copywriting

Keyword Selection & Ad Copywriting

During keyword research, we will analyse the average monthly searches of keywords relevant to your product or service, your competitors’ keywords and top of page bid in the Google Ads auction system. Based on the selected keywords, we will craft out well-executed ad copies that will entice your potential customers to click on your website and convert them into customers.

Conversion Tracking

Conversion Tracking

Conversion tracking allows us to monitor the actions that users take toward completing a business goal. These actions include adding an item to the cart, form submissions, and more. By linking your Analytics and Google Ads, we can gather more data on your customers’ conversion actions to make more informed decisions and better optimise your SEM campaigns.

Google Ads Optimisation

Google Ads Optimisation

Optimising a Google Ads campaign involves ongoing analysis and testing to identify which elements of the campaign are working well and which areas need improvement. Standard optimisation techniques include keyword research and management, ad copy testing and optimisation, bidding and budget management, targeting and audience optimisation, and landing page optimisation.

Building Negative Keyword List

Building Negative Keyword List

This process involves identifying and excluding keywords that are not relevant or do not match the intent of your ad campaign. Negative keywords are used to prevent your ads from showing for irrelevant or unrelated search queries, which helps to improve the overall performance of your campaign by reducing wasted spend on clicks that are unlikely to result in a conversion.

Tracking & Reviewing of Performance

Your dedicated account manager will send you a monthly SEM report and quarterly review of your Google Ads performance. This allows you to easily monitor the progress of your Google Ads and to ensure that the strategy is working. The report includes campaign performance metrics such as cost per click, click-through rate, impressions, conversion rate, and more.

A/B Testing

A/B testing compares 2 versions of an ad to determine which one performs better in terms of generating clicks, conversions, and other KPIs. It involves bidding strategies, ad copy rotation, bid modifiers, and more. Based on the outcome of the test, the better-performing variation will be used to further optimise your campaign and generate more targeted results.

FAQs on our SEM Services

What is Google Display Network?

Google Display Network is a platform that enables marketers to launch ads that will be displayed on ad-supported websites across the internet. When you browse any website and see ads on the top or side banner, that is likely powered by Google Display Network.

The most significant advantage of using Google Display Network is that it is a way to earn a lot of free impressions. Those who do end up clicking on these ads are also more likely to be already interested in your brand, products, or services.

What is Ad Retargeting?
Ad Retargeting is the practice of displaying ads to consumers who have had prior online interaction with the brand. For example, a marketer can set their PPC retargeting campaign to show ads to users who have previously visited the brand’s product pages before. This is possible through cookies that track web activity on certain websites.

Since the ads are shown to those who have shown interest in your brand, there is usually a higher engagement rate than with ads to a fresh audience.
Why is SEM important?

SEM allows brands and businesses to reach out to people searching for answers on the search engines. With PPC ads, you can capture your audience’s attention right at the top of the search engine results.

Google Ads is the most prominent search engine PPC channel because of its huge audience base. Google search takes 96% of the market share in Singapore, and remains the biggest player in paid search marketing. So, if you are looking to reach out to a wide audience, Google Ads has to be included in your digital marketing strategy.

What is the PSG grant and SFEC credit?
The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) is an initiative started by the Government of Singapore that is designed to help SMEs invest in technology and IT solutions that enhance existing business processes and boost productivity. PSG offers up to 50% of grant support to companies that select pre-approved solutions, including Impossible Marketing’s Digital Marketing solutions.
Note: Companies are subjected to an annual grant cap of S$30,000 for solutions, starting on 1 April and ending on 31 March the following year.
Eligible employers for SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) will also receive a one-time S$10,000 credit to cover up to 90% of their out-of-pocket expenses on qualifying costs. Both the PSG and SFEC credit hold the common objective of supporting employers, especially SMEs, in boosting enterprise and workforce transformation.
Does your company qualify for the PSG grant and SFEC credit?
Business entities need to fulfil these requirements to be eligible for PSG:
  • Registered and operating in Singapore with a minimum of 30% local shareholding,
  • Company’s Group annual sales turnover of less than S$100 million, or less than 200 employees, and
  • Purchase/lease/subscription of the IT solutions or equipment must be used in Singapore.
Note: Start-ups operating for less than 6 months can still apply but will be subjected to the Enterprise Singapore (ESG)’s assessment.

For SFEC, eligible employers should already have been notified by ESG in writing if they meet the necessary requirements. Qualified SMEs should be able to see the S$10,000 credit when they log in to the Business Grants Portal.
How can SEM help in your business?

Search engine marketing channels like Google Ads offers highly customisable targeting capabilities and controlled budgeting system. This offers you the chance to get higher quality leads and more targeted traffic, which means more potential for higher conversions and sales.

Additionally, SEM ads can bring quick results – in as little as a few hours. Hence, it is great for giving a quick boost of traffic to new brand, or for your business’ time-sensitive sale or event.

How much does SEM cost?
