Ho-Ho-Holiday Cheers: Team IM Christmas 2025 Adventures

Ho-ho-holiday season came early for Team IM, and it arrived with laughter, puzzles, prizes, and a surprise none of us saw coming. Impossible Marketing’s yearly team bonding is finally here, and as always, it’s something we all look forward to. It’s our chance to step away from screens, campaigns, and deadlines, and reconnect as people first, colleagues second.

This year, though, things took a delightful twist. What started as a Christmas team bonding session around Parkway Parade slowly unfolded into something far more memorable: a bonding session that ended with a house tour at our CEO Alan’s home. Yes, you read that right. From teamwork challenges to karaoke and mahjong, Christmas 2025 gave us stories we’ll be laughing about for a long time.

A festive meetup with comfy shoes and matching polos

Everyone came dressed comfortably, shoes ready, spirits high, and for many of us, it was the first time wearing the new company polo T-shirt. Seeing everyone in the same shirt felt surprisingly heartwarming, a reminder that we’re all in this journey together.

After a short briefing, we were split into our teams.

With finger bites promised later and prizes hinted at, excitement levels were already climbing.

Puzzles, patience, and teamwork in action

The first activity kicked off, and it wasn’t a simple icebreaker. Each team received three sets of puzzles that had to be solved to reveal the location of our next destination. These puzzles were tricky, tested patience, and demanded clear communication.

Team Adeline cracked the code first, with Team Lynn close behind. Deciding there was strength in numbers, both teams teamed up and walked ahead together, leaving Team Joanne behind for a brief moment. True to form, Team Joanne caught up with the rest of us at the traffic light, and off we went as one group again.

Part one: logos, instincts, and a flawless win

Part one: logos, instincts, and a flawless win

The first segment of games brought everyone together at the same time. A deceptively simple challenge asked us to identify which logo was correct out of two nearly identical versions. These were logos we use daily in digital marketing, including Google, Zoom, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and more.

The first segment of games brought everyone together at the same time.

We had to stand on the side of the logo we believed was correct, guided by tape on the floor. As the rounds went on, the differences became subtler, and the pressure mounted. One by one, people were eliminated until only Adeline and Syakirah remained. Adeline eventually slipped up, leaving Syakirah to continue alone. She completed the entire game with zero wrong answers, an impressive feat that earned plenty of cheers!

Part two: speed, strategy, and a lot of laughter

The second segment featured six different games. Each team sent one representative per game, with the final game involving everyone. These games tested speed, focus, memory, and strategy.

Somewhere between the fast-paced games, we took a short break to refuel, and it was very much needed. Alan and Serene had thoughtfully prepared a spread of finger foods from Old Chang Kee, along with chocolates, sweets, a huge box of chips, and plenty of different drinks to choose from. It was one of those moments where everyone gathered casually, chatted, laughed about the earlier games, and realised how spoiled for choice we were before diving straight back into the action.

One memorable challenge involved arranging 12 cups in three colours, blue, green, and pink, into the correct order.

Another game pushed creativity and memory to the limit, asking participants to draw 20 Christmas-related items in rapid succession, with barely five seconds per item. Afterwards, they were tested on how many they could correctly identify.

The final game brought everyone together for a twist on musical chairs. Instead of sitting down, we stood up and had to snatch a cup when the music stopped. As cups were removed round by round, tension rose. The final showdown was between Adeline and Kavitha, with Adeline emerging victorious.

As if that wasn’t chaotic enough, we jumped straight into another team challenge that had everyone laughing within seconds. The goal was simple: stuff as many cups as possible onto one teammate without stacking them. That rule forced us to get creative very quickly.

Cups were slid onto every finger, balanced in hair, tucked into sleeves, and placed wherever gravity would allow. It turned into a hilarious mix of teamwork, problem-solving, and pure nonsense, and by the end, the room was filled with laughter and photos we’ll definitely be revisiting.

Part three: coins, arcades, and surprise wins

For the last part of the bonding session, points earned earlier were converted into coins. Some teams had up to 100 coins, while others had 60. These were split among team members and used at the in-home arcade.

What followed felt like a mini carnival.

We wrapped up the formal activities with debriefing and the annual prize-giving. Big-ticket items made their appearance, including a Coach wristlet, $500 in travel claims, a Lumos projector, and plenty of other crowd favourites. The highlight of the night went to Kavitha, who won the prize everyone secretly hoped for, a Dyson Airwrap.

A house tour that turned into a night to remember

Once the prizes were handed out, Alan and Serene generously opened up their home for a house tour. Each level had its own theme, from Disney to Broadway, and every corner felt thoughtfully designed. We also took a moment to celebrate our December babies, and this year, the spotlight was on Syakirah. It was a simple but meaningful pause in the evening, filled with smiles and that cosy feeling of being remembered, making the night feel even more personal.

Many of us stayed back, easing into the evening with karaoke, darts, pool, mahjong, and relaxed conversations. It didn’t feel like a company event anymore. It felt like friends hanging out, bonding naturally, and enjoying each other’s company without an agenda.

Looking back on a year of growth and milestones at Impossible Marketing

As the year comes to a close, this Christmas bonding session felt like the perfect moment to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come. Beyond campaigns and KPIs, 2025 has been packed with meaningful experiences that shaped us as a team.

We found balance and mindfulness by returning to the mat with Yoga Nation’s soulful yoga sessions, reminding us to care for our well-being alongside our work. We celebrated credibility and visibility by being featured on Wiki.sg, a milestone that marked our growing presence in the industry. We also participated in IMDA’s SMEs Go Digital Day event, connecting with businesses and sharing what we do best.

Leadership moments stood out too, with Alan at the SOE Gala Dinner and the team joining Fitness Champs’ Special IPO Celebratory Dinner. These moments, and many more, reflected a year filled with progress, partnerships, and purpose. It’s been a year of showing up, learning together, and growing stronger as a digital marketing agency that values people as much as performance.

Ending the year with gratitude and cheer

Ending the year with gratitude and cheer

Christmas this year wasn’t just about games or prizes. It was about generosity and shared memories. A heartfelt thank you goes to Alan and Serene for opening their home to us and organising everything at short notice. The warmth, effort, and thought behind the day didn’t go unnoticed.

As we head into a new year, this bonding session leaves us with full hearts and renewed appreciation for the people we work with every day. That’s the kind of holiday cheer that lasts well beyond December.

Impossible Marketing wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas, and on that note, here’s to ending the year with gratitude, good cheer, and an even brighter year ahead together!
