EDGE Grant 2026: How Singapore SMEs Can Fund Digital Marketing (Formerly PSG)
Posted on: October 8, 2026

If you were planning to use the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) for your marketing this year, there is news. On 30 September 2026, Enterprise Singapore launched the EDGE grant. It brings three familiar schemes, the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), PSG and Market Readiness Assistance (MRA), under one roof.
The good news for SMEs: digital marketing is still fundable. In this guide, we explain what EDGE is, who qualifies, how much support you can get, and which of our EDGE digital marketing packages you can claim for.
What is the EDGE grant?
The EDGE Grant is Enterprise Singapore’s main co-funding grant for Singapore businesses looking to upgrade, digitalise or expand overseas. It covers part of the cost of approved projects, with support of up to 50% for SMEs, or up to 70% for overseas expansion and sustainability projects. Larger companies can receive up to 30% support.
Despite its name, EDGE is not an acronym. Enterprise Singapore chose the name to reflect the grant’s aim of helping local businesses gain an edge over their competitors. It also replaces three older grant schemes, so businesses no longer need to choose between them. Instead, applications are now made through a single route on the Business Grants Portal.
| Old scheme | What it funded | Status after 30 Sep 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) | Pre-approved, off-the-shelf solutions, including digital marketing packages | Closed to new applications; now under EDGE |
| Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) | Custom upgrading projects: capabilities, innovation, overseas expansion | Closed to new applications; now under EDGE |
| Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) | Overseas market setup and promotion | Closed to new applications; now under EDGE |
If you already submitted a PSG, EDG or MRA application before the cutover, it continues under its original scheme. Only new applications go through EDGE. Businesses that used the old grants before can still apply for EDGE on new projects (Enterprise Singapore FAQ).
What activities can the EDGE grant support?
EDGE covers 8 business areas and more than 150 activities (Enterprise Singapore). Each activity has its own support level, cap and eligibility rules.
| Business area | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Automation and digitalisation | Pre-approved single-function digital solutions (such as digital marketing and HR systems), integrated enterprise systems, and pre-scoped equipment |
| Internationalisation | Entering overseas markets, trade fairs, finding overseas partners and overseas business development |
| Standards | Adopting and getting certified to industry standards |
| Sustainability | Projects that support environmental goals |
| Business strategy | Strategy and business planning projects |
| Financial management | Strengthening financial capabilities |
| Innovation | Developing new products, services or processes |
The types of costs supported vary by activity. Businesses should check the specific EDGE activity listing before applying, as not every cost is automatically eligible.
EDGE provides up to $100,000 in total grant support per company per year across eligible activities. Within this overall cap, up to $30,000 can be used for single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and selected automation activities. The annual cap is refreshed on 1 April each year.
For most SMEs, digital marketing support falls under the relevant Automation & Digitalisation activity and is subject to the specific requirements and qualifying costs of the approved solution.
Who qualifies, and how much can you get?
You are eligible for EDGE if your business:
- Is registered and operating in Singapore
- Has at least 30% local shareholding (Singapore Citizens and/or PRs)
- Meet the eligibility requirements of the specific activity
- Will use the funded solution in Singapore
Unlike PSG, which was largely for SMEs, EDGE is also open to larger companies. Non-profits and statutory boards are not eligible.
| SMEs | Non-SMEs | |
|---|---|---|
| Standard support (incl. digital marketing) | Up to 50% | Up to 30% |
| Internationalisation and sustainability projects | Up to 70% | Up to 50% |
| Overall annual cap | S$100,000 per company | S$100,000 per company |
The $100,000 annual cap is shared across eligible EDGE activities and is refreshed on 1 April each year. A separate $30,000 limit applies within the overall cap for single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and selected automation activities.
Why digital marketing is a smart use of EDGE
Digital marketing is one of EDGE’s pre-approved digital solutions, and it is one of the fastest ways to turn grant money into measurable results.
Search behaviour is also changing. Customers now ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews for recommendations, not just type keywords. A grant-funded campaign that covers both traditional SEO and AI SEO helps your brand show up in both places.
That is why most of our packages pair a long-term channel (SEO and AI SEO) with a faster one (ads, social or content), so you build lasting visibility while generating leads now.

How to apply for EDGE, step by step
1. Pick a package and get a quotation.
Choose the EDGE activity and solution that matches your business needs. Contact us and we can recommend the appropriate digital marketing package and provide a formal quotation.
2. Apply on the Business Grants Portal.
Submit your EDGE application through the Business Grants Portal (BGP) using your company’s Corppass account. Depending on the activity, you may need to select a pre-approved vendor or engage a vendor of your choice. Someone in your company with the Corppass role of BGP Preparer or BGP Acceptor submits the application. Vendors cannot apply on your behalf.
3. Don’t start or pay before you submit.
If your application is approved, Enterprise Singapore will issue a Letter of Offer (LOF) setting out the grant amount, conditions of support, qualifying period and project deliverables. You must accept the Letter of Offer before proceeding with the approved project.Importantly, businesses must not have started work or made any payment or deposit to a supplier, vendor or third party before submitting the application. For activities where costs incurred from the application date are covered upon approval, businesses may proceed after submitting the application, but should check the specific activity requirements and understand that approval is not guaranteed.
4. Get your Letter of Offer and kick off.
Once the application is approved and the Letter of Offer is accepted, proceed with the project according to the agreed scope, qualifying period and deliverables.
5. Submit your claim.
EDGE grants are disbursed on a reimbursement basis. After completing the approved activity and making full payment, submit your claim through the Business Grants Portal with the required supporting documents. The exact documents and deliverables depend on the activity and will be stated in the relevant activity requirements or Letter of Offer.
Tip: the most common reason claims fail is starting work before the Letter of Offer arrives. Plan your campaign start date with the approval time in mind. Always check the specific activity’s requirements before committing to the project.
Frequently asked questions
Is PSG still available?
No. PSG, EDG and MRA stopped taking new applications when EDGE launched on 30 September 2026. Applications submitted before then continue under the old scheme.
Can I still get a grant for digital marketing?
Yes. Digital marketing is supportable under EDGE, with up to 50% support for SMEs and 30% for non-SMEs on costs of up to S$10,000.
I used PSG before. Can I still apply for EDGE?
Yes. Previous PSG recipients can apply for EDGE for new eligible projects, subject to the relevant eligibility and activity requirements.
Does EDGE cover ad spend?
EDGE covers eligible costs in your approved digital marketing package, subject to the applicable project qualifying period and grant conditions. Ad or media spend may not be covered, even when campaign management services are. GST is not covered under the grant. Check your approved quotation and Letter of Offer, or ask us how ad spend is handled for your package.
Can I apply for more than one EDGE activity?
Yes. The S$100,000 annual cap is shared across eligible EDGE activities, so businesses can potentially apply for multiple activities subject to the requirements and caps of each activity.
Can startups and sole proprietors apply?
Eligible startups and sole proprietorships can apply if they meet the relevant EDGE requirements. This includes being a qualifying Singapore-registered business and meeting the applicable ownership and activity requirements.
