IM Joins An Extra•Ordinary Celebration With Gratitude

These past few months have been eventful for Impossible Marketing, from mastering trends at Twin TikTok events in September and October to capping off the year with a heartwarming invitation to the Extra•Ordinary Celebration in November.

In a tender celebration of love, hope, and inclusivity, Impossible Marketing had the privilege of attending the Extra•Ordinary People’s 2023 edition of An Extra•Ordinary Celebration – Kaleidoscope of Love and Hope. This event, held at the Ho Bee Auditorium at the National University of Singapore, marked a momentous occasion in the name of charity and inclusivity.

An overview of the event

Extra•Ordinary People, a charity and Institute of Public Character dedicated to serving the special needs community and fostering an inclusive society, hosted an unforgettable evening on Wednesday, 15 November 2023, from 7.30pm to 9pm. The event brought together 11 special education and 13 mainstream schools, showcasing their talents in a night of inclusivity and unity.

But what set this celebration apart was the ambitious attempt to create a record as one of the largest handbell ensembles in Singapore. Over 1,500 participants joined forces for the handbells finale, a collective effort that etched its way into the Singapore Book of Records.

A key highlight of the evening was the distinguished guests of honour, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Mrs Tharman. Their presence emphasises the significance of supporting a meaningful cause and contributing to the creation of a more inclusive society.

Alan, the founder and CEO of Impossible Marketing, had a particularly memorable moment during the event: capturing a ‘selfie’ with Mr Tharman himself! This unique opportunity allowed Alan to witness the president up close, making it a rare and unforgettable experience.

President Tharman, along with Mrs Tharman, expressed their support for Extra•Ordinary People’s cause. President Tharman’s inspiring words on pushing oneself to develop talents despite difficulties resonated deeply with the performers and attendees alike – it was a powerful reminder of the importance of determination and resilience in the face of adversity.
