IM Returns To The Mat With Yoga Nation’s Soulful Yoga Session
Posted on: May 2, 2025
There’s something about returning to a yoga mat that feels like coming home, especially when it’s with familiar faces, supportive energy, and a whole lot of shared laughter. That was exactly what Team Impossible experienced as we rolled out our mats for our second yoga session with Yoga Nation.
After the first round of stretching and sore muscles, we weren’t entirely sure what we were walking into this time. But one thing we did know? We were eager for more of that calming, grounding energy. The first session had left us sweaty but surprisingly serene, and we were ready to give it another go, hopefully with a little more ease (and fewer aching thighs).
Round two: Easier, please
This session marked our second collaboration with Yoga Nation, and we came with a special request: please go easy on us. The previous session had been fantastic, but let’s just say we were no match for it! So when we saw Trainer Sherry walking in with her warm smile and peaceful aura, we collectively exhaled in relief.
Trainer Sherry brought a calming presence to the room, immediately putting us at ease. She led us through a flow designed to be more beginner-friendly, which was very welcome news. Despite that, a few poses still pushed us to our limits (we’re looking at you, downward dog). Turns out, “beginner-friendly” in yoga doesn’t necessarily mean “easy”, and we have even more respect now for anyone who can hold a plank with grace.
Stretch, breathe, adjust
Sherry guided us through a series of slow, intentional movements that worked just about every part of our bodies. We eased into stretches that gently challenged us, and while some of the postures looked deceptively simple, they definitely woke up muscles we’d forgotten existed.
Thankfully, Trainer Sherry was incredibly patient. She moved around the room, helping us correct our alignment and offering small adjustments that made all the difference. Some of the stretches hurt (in the best way), but her encouraging words and attention to detail kept us going. Honestly, her gentle guidance helped us stay present and not fall over during the revolved lunge pose.
By the time the session ended, we were tired. Not just “took the stairs” tired, but that deeply satisfying, soul-level tired. The kind that comes from actually listening to your body for once. We lay in savasana, eyes closed, heart rates settling, feeling grateful not just for the practice but also for the fact that our office is literally next door. That one-minute walk back felt like a five-star luxury.
A gentle wake-up call
Before we left, Sherry gave us some parting wisdom: “You all need to exercise more!” Brutal honesty, served with a warm smile. But she wasn’t wrong. Between work and well, more work, movement often takes a backseat. This session was a good reminder that our bodies need more than just caffeine and deadlines.
Yoga has this funny way of humbling even the best of us. It looks so effortless, but once you’re on the mat, balancing on one foot with your core trembling, you realise just how much strength, control, and focus it actually takes. It’s far from easy. We now bow deeply (both literally and figuratively) to all the yogis and yoginis out there. Your quiet strength is inspiring.
Shoutout to Yoga Nation
This session left us once again stretched beyond limits with Yoga Nation, and we’re genuinely grateful for that. From the thoughtful adjustments to the inviting space, everything about the experience was crafted with care.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to Yoga Nation for welcoming Team Impossible back for another fulfilling session. We laughed, we wobbled, we stretched and, most importantly, we reconnected with ourselves (and maybe even discovered a new appreciation for our core muscles).
